Stephan Kurth (Offene Räume – free open-rooms), Inken Baarck (Offene Räume/ Mobile Jugendarbeit – free open-rooms/ mobile youth work) and Claudia Lübcke (Offene Räume/ Mobile Jugendarbeit – free open-rooms/ mobile youth work) are the core of the social education team of the "Offene Kinder- und Jugendarbeit (OKJA)".
The team of school social workers is synergistically associated with this core team. Together they work at the following schools in the social area of KTV/Stadtmitte: Ira Leithoff (Innerstädtisches Gymnasium), Doreen Winter (Sprachheilpädagogisches Förderzentrum am Alten Markt), Marie Widuckel (Borwinschule – Gesamtschule Mitte mit gymnasialer Oberstufe), Thomas Krieger (St.-Georg-Grundschule) and Thomas Pankalla (Grundschule am Margaretenplatz).
Since August 2016, another priority of our efforts is mobile and visiting work, performed by Betina Zielinski and Wolfgang Schimmelpfennig, in a project entitled "RYS – Reclaim Your Streets // Streetwork Rostock"
We are based in the Peter-Weiss-Haus, Doberaner Straße 21, Rostock. Our regular office hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and anyone is welcome to stop by.
The "Offene Raum" (free open-room) is open from Monday to Thursday from 2-7 p.m. to children and youth.
